This video demonstrates the installation process for Microsoft System Center Operation Manager 2012 Beta Edition. The step by step installation is explained in detail.
At first the beta requirements are fulfilled like installation of Report Viewer and then .Net Framework 4.0. Afterwards the high level operations are guided. Creating service accounts for the Beta Server, ports are opened for both inbound and outbound rules under the Windows Firewall and Advanced Security.
Though it’s not mentioned in the system requirements that SCOM 2012 Beta could run under SQL Server 2008 R2; but fortunately it supports the configurations. Unlike SCCM 2012 Beta 2; which does not support SQL Server 2008 R2.
Afterwards, the setup was kick started and some obstacles were seen and dealt with. And finally the installer finishes configuring the server. Later on a brief workaround is shown; brief in a sense that my machine got out of RAM!!!
